An Algerian chef who has been living in Tokyo for 16 years. His name is Nabil Houhou, also known as “Desire in Tokyo”.
He decided to leave for France to continue his studies.
During his school years there, the young Algerian worked in various jobs related to restoration, before entering the world of cooking.
Where he obtained a degree in food industry in Algeria at the time, the son of the city of Tipaza was dissatisfied with his life as an unemployed person before he went to France.
And Nabil began to rise day by day in this field until, by chance, he received an offer from the French chef
The famous Joel Robuchon to work in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
However, after a few weeks, Nabil Houhou decided to leave Japan and return to Paris because of his inability to adapt to the atmosphere and his great sense of alienation.

Upon his return to Paris, Nabil met a young Japanese woman studying architecture, and soon after he married her for love.
After five years of marriage, the couple moved to Tokyo, where Nabil opened two restaurants and became a father of three.
Despite his years abroad, Nabil said he can never forget his homeland and that he sometimes cries when he remembers Algeria.
Nabil regularly shares Algerian and international recipes with his subscribers on his YouTube channel called “Dziri fi Tokyo”.
Which includes 8 thousand subscribers.
Nabil Houhou said that he was unable at first to open an Algerian restaurant due to several technical and professional problems, but he pledged via video to the Algerians.
That his third restaurant will be a purely Algerian restaurant in Tokyo.
